EM Location Transfer – Equipment Transfers
The EM Location Transfer form is used to record transfers of a single piece of equipment, including job or location changes. If the equipment has attachments, they are transferred automatically, though you can also add, edit, or delete attachments as needed. Each transfer creates a history record for the equipment and its attachments.
Tracking transfer times is recommended if using EM Automatic Usage, as usage charges are calculated based on the time equipment spends at each location.
To Transfer a Single Piece of Equipment:
Open the EM Location Transfer form.
In the Equipment field, select or enter the equipment number.
In the Sequence field:
Enter
N,n, or+for a new transfer.Enter an existing sequence number to edit a transfer.
Enter the transfer details:
JC Co: Job company (leave blank if not a job transfer).
Job: Job number (leave blank if transferring to a location).
Location: Location code (leave blank if transferring to a job).
Date: Transfer date.
Time: Transfer time (24-hour format, required for EM Automatic Usage).
Estimate Out Date: Optional; required if using auto usage templates.
Memo: Any notes about the transfer.
On the Attachments tab, manage attachments if needed.
Click Save.
Mass Equipment Transfers
Use the EM Mass Location Transfer form to move multiple pieces of equipment at once. This is useful, for example, when transferring a trailer and all its tools back to a job or location.
Select the equipment based on search criteria.
Specify the new job/location and transfer date/time.
If using EM Automatic Usage, enter the transfer time for accurate usage calculation.
The system updates current job and location in equipment records and creates transfer history records for each piece of equipment.
Note: If using both auto and manual usage on the same equipment, use the single EM Location Transfer form.
