How To Delete/Adjust An AR Invoice In An Open Month?

Steps

  1. Go to AR > Programs
  2. Open AR Invoice Entry
  3. Start a new batch in the same batch month the invoice was created.
  4. File > Add Transaction

  5. This will open the AR Add Transaction to Batch form.
  6. Use the F4 lookup in the AR Transaction # field.
  7. Locate the transaction that needs to be changed or deleted.
  8. The Filter bar can be used to filter by Invoice or Customer number, as well as Transaction Date, Type or Number.

  9. After you select the transaction, click OK to close the Lookup.
  10. Click "Add to Batch"
  11. The system returns a message "Successfully added. Do you want to add another?" Click No, if there are no more transactions to add.
  12. This brings in the entire transaction as you had entered it.
  13. Adjust what is needed >> Save >> File >> Process Batch
  14. Or Set Action to "Delete" >> Save >> File >> Process Batch

 NOTE: If the transaction is un-posted: open the existing batch and check the Grid tab for the transaction to be deleted. Select the transaction and from the menu bar and choose the trashcan option, and confirm deletion. The transaction is deleted.
