PCO Error: “No change detail exists from which to create a SubCO”

This error usually occurs because the PCO detail was not created or was deleted.

How to Fix

  • Open PM Subcontract Detail and add the required phases, cost types, and amounts.

  • Ensure the PCO has valid detail before trying to create the SubCO again.

Requirements to Create a SubCO from a PCO

All of the following must be true:

  • The PCO has detail items entered on the Estimate/Purchase Details tab.

  • Each PCO detail item is linked to a Subcontract and Subcontract Item (using the SL and PO/SL Items fields).

  • The subcontract item is not already linked to another SubCO for the same PCO.

  • The subcontract is Approved or Interfaced.

Create SubCOs from PCO Detail

  1. Go to PM Pending Change Orders and select the PCO.

  2. Select Create > Subcontract Change Orders.

  3. The system displays eligible PCO detail items.

  4. Use the Keyword field to find the correct items.

  5. Check the items to include.

  6. Proceed to create the SubCO.

Alternate Method

Subcontract Change Orders can also be created when approving a PCO:

  • Go to PM Pending Change Orders > Tasks > Approve PCOs

  • Select options to create Sub/PO Change Orders during approval.
