Trimble Identity (TID) Overview
What is Trimble Identity (TID)?
A single sign-on (SSO) account for accessing Trimble applications and services, including Viewpoint products.
With one Trimble/Viewpoint login (TC1), you can access multiple Trimble products without signing in again.
When logging into a Viewpoint app with TC1, you may be asked to create or use your Trimble account.
Forgot Password:
Click Forgot Password on the Trimble login page.
Enter your account email and follow instructions to receive a reset code.
If the email doesn’t exist, create a new Trimble account.
No emails received?
Check spam or firewall settings.
Add trimble.com to safe senders.
Emails come from no-reply@account.trimble.com.
Locked Out:
Too many failed login attempts lock your account for 15 minutes.
Either wait or reset your password to regain access.
3rd-Party Sign-In:
Google, Apple, and Microsoft logins are supported.
Using social sign-on makes that account your Trimble ID, with all password and MFA management handled by the provider.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA):
For Viewpoint for Projects (VFP): see VFP MFA guide.
For other products: enabling MFA in Admin Center > Enterprise Settings > Security requires users to set it up on team.viewpoint.com.
MFA applies across products using Viewpoint ID SSO but is enforceable only via Viewpoint Team sign-in.
Mobile app logins follow the same process.
External collaborators not on Azure AD also need to upgrade.
Enabling MFA:
If you enable MFA, it becomes required for your account.
