Creating a New Attachment Type
Create a New Record:
Open the DM Attachment Types form and click the paper icon to create a new record.
The Attachment Type ID will auto-populate.
Enter Details:
Provide a Name for the attachment type and an optional Description.
Optionally, set the Retention Time in months. This determines how long the system retains documents of this type. Expired documents can later be removed using DM Expired Documents Purge.
Apply Security (Optional):
Check the Secured box to enforce security for this attachment type. Refer to related documentation on Attachment Type Security for guidance.
Save the Record:
Confirm the record is saved; the Save icon will appear greyed out once saved successfully.
