If you log in with a Classic ID in the format VIEWPOINT\[name].[code], your password is linked to a Microsoft account. The password will expire in Vista before it expires in Microsoft, so you will have some time after Vista shows that your password has expired to change it in your microsoft account.

- Navigate to https://myaccount.microsoft.com
- Sign in with your account in the form [first inital].[last name].[company code]@viewpoint.cloud
- You will be asked for a 2 factor authentication code, so make sure you have the device that you originally used to set up 2 factor authentication.
- Click "Change Password"
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click Submit
- It may take up to 30 minutes for the new password to become active in Vista.
