[PR] PR Craft/Class Prevailing Wage [FULL SET UP]

If you're on the Jate server:

  • Right click on the Payroll Module
  • Highlight New
  • Select the + Craft Class Maintenance Subfolder, go into Payroll>Programs> PR Earnings Code and add this to your new subfolder.



  1. Go into Payroll> Programs>PR Earnings Code
    1. 99 Cash Fringe


      See example:


       
  2. Definitions
    This is an example, you'll find this information from your L&I State and/or County
    1. Craft = Category (Laborer)
    2. Class = Job (Cement Laborer)

  3. Go into into Payroll> Programs>  PR Crafts and create the craft with an effective date (Go back farther than needed ex: 1/1/2023)
    1. Name your Craft following L & I naming conventions
    2. Capped Basis Tab
      • Earnings 1, 2, 3, 99
      • Liabilities (if applicable)


    3. Capped Code Tab
      • Earnings 99 (if there is pension add the pension)


  4. Go into into Payroll> Programs>  PR Craft Classes
    1. Craft: F4 your Craft
    2. Class: Name your Class following L & I name conventions
    3. Description


  5. Go into Job Cost> Programs> JC Jobs
    1. PR Info Tab
      • Create Craft Template, F4
      • Select Set Up



      • The template number matches the job number.
      • In the description County and Bid Date (if you have information)
      • Save your work





Steps 7 & 8 always get a new creation per each prevailing wage job.


  1. Go into into Payroll> Programs> PR Craft Templates
    1. Craft: F4 pull in your craft
    2. Template: F4 pull in your template



  2. Go into into Payroll> Programs> PR Craft Class Templates
    1. Craft: F4 link the craft
    2. Class: F4 link the class
    3. Template: F4 link the template
    4. Info Tab & check the override Class Prevailing Wage box
    5. New Basic Hourly Rate: Base Rate
    6. New Fringe Benefit Rate: Fringe Rate (If Applicable)


    7. Pay Rates Tab
    8. New Rate same rate as new basic hourly rate
          ***Pull the New Basic Hourly Rate in the Info Tab - DO NOT look at the New Fringe Benefit Rate OR New Total Wage Rate***
