Approvers use the HR Leave Approval form to review leave requests. By using this form, approvers can filter for a specific approval group, leave request status, date or resource. Depending on the resource selected in the form grid, the resource’s leave information (available leave, pending leave, balance leave) displays on the form. The approver can then update each leave request with a new status (Approved, Denied or Cancelled) and add any additional comments.
Once the approver updates the leave request status, the system sends and email to the resource detailing the updated status. The resource may also check the status of all requests using the HR Leave Request form.
From the Human Resources module's Programs folder, open the HR Leave Approval form to change the status of a leave request:
- Check the box next to the leave request record in the grid.
- From the Action column, select a new status for the request. Available statuses include: New, Approved, Denied and Cancelled.
- In the Approver Comments field, enter any applicable comments.
- Repeat this process for all requests that require review and approval.
- Click Update. The system then sends an email notification to the requesting resource using their notification preference.
